Philoxenia is a 501(c)(3) organization staffed by volunteers that believe its our mission to help feed and clothe the homeless, knowing that “there but for the grace of God go I.”
We began what we call “Last Night’s Soup Run” 10 years ago and to date we have served more than 10,000 meals to the hungry on the streets of New York City and have provided thousands of items of much needed clothing and toiletries to our “guests” on 33rd Street.
No matter the weather, the time of the year or the challenges presented to us, an ever-growing group of volunteers happily serve 125 meals each month. We welcome additional volunteers and contributions to help fund our ministry.
